Plant some herbs eg. Rosemary, Thyme, Sage in pots to keep close to your back door, so even if the weather is bad you can still nip out and grab some fresh herbs.
Continue to dead-head (remove dead and old flowers) on summer plants in pots and plants which will ‘come back’ in the ground to prolong flowering for another week or two and keep the garden looking tidy.
Growing your own fruit
There is something very special about picking and eating your own grown produce, the reward of looking after the plants and the wonderful fresh taste of the fruits.
